John has been working in the music industry for over 15 years and teaching for Musiqhub for much of that time too. Previously seen behind the counter running New Zealand's largest music store, he has also been part of a number of Auckland bands, from pop-punk to funk and ska groups as well as in the orchestra pit with musical theatre ensembles, and collaborating with artists in NZ and overseas. He is patient and understanding, and students can expect lessons supplemented with songs by artists like Taylor Swift, AC/DC, and Oasis, as well as the Musiqhub curriculum
