About the Recorder
The recorder is a woodwind instrument that has seven holes. It was originally popular in medieval times through the baroque era. It regained its popularity in the 20th century, mainly because it was appealing to beginners who wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument.
The recorder can be heard in popular music, including songs by The Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Led Zepellin. It is also useful for re-enacting historical moments, as it is very suitable for playing Baroque and Medieval scores.
