Ruth and Michael Germon

  • Ruth and Michael are passionate musicians, and have been playing multiple instruments for over a decade now.

    Together and individually they have both played with and composed for multiple bands and projects, specialising in the rock and metal genres. Currently they are both guitarists in the Metal/Dubstep band Kaosis, who frequently tour around New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
    Ruth specialises in Guitar and Vocals. Michael in Guitar, Piano and Bass.

    Together they share the belief that anyone with a great attitude can become a musician, young or old.

  • Michael is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about music teaching. He is able to communicate his knowledge clearly and without being overwhelmed. He has been teaching me guitar for around 2 years and I have found his friendly manner and patient approach to be valuable in helping me keep going. He is always able to offer useful insights and practical tips to help me progress. I have appreciated his ability to be flexible on the odd occasion that I have needed to reschedule. I would recommend him as a guitar teacher to anyone who, like me, feels a bit intimidated picking up an instrument without much prior experience.
